Safeguarding and Welfare

After the recent relevations of child abuse at several football clubs, the committee at Waterbeach Colts wish to assure parents that every step is taken to ensure the safety of their children.

The club follows Football Association guidelines on these matters which dictate that every coach is DBS checked. We have also signed up to the FA's 'Club Safeguarding Commitment'. This means that County FAs across the country will be randomly sampling to check that clubs are adhering to the required safeguards and that the officials working with children are the ones notified to the FA.
